Questions people ask before their first photo
How old can the photo be?
Any age. Daguerreotype-era images, 1920s studio portraits, 1970s colour prints that turned orange, Polaroids: the restoration works on the scan, so the format of the original does not matter.
Do I need a scanner?
No. A phone photo of the print in daylight is enough. Restore detects the photo in the frame, crops it and corrects the perspective. If you do have a scanner, 300 to 600 dpi gives the most detail to work with.
How fast is it, really?
A typical restoration finishes in about two minutes. Heavily damaged photos on the Premium Repair pass can take a few minutes longer. You can close the page; the result will be waiting in your account.
Will the face still look like them?
Yes. The restoration keeps every face, expression, age and accessory exactly as in the original. It repairs damage and returns natural colour; it does not beautify, re-age or re-imagine anyone.
Do I need a subscription?

Are my photos private?
Photos are private to your account, transferred and stored encrypted, never used to train any model and never shared. Originals are deleted automatically 30 days after a finished restoration; you can delete anything sooner.
