Questions people ask before their first photo
Can it repair a tear that goes through the face?
Usually yes. The repair pass reconstructs the missing area from the surrounding image and keeps the facial structure that is still visible. If the face is mostly gone, the result will be an honest reconstruction, not a guess at a new person; in that case we tell you before you pay for a Premium Repair.
What is the Premium Repair pass?
A slower, more thorough restoration model for heavily damaged photos. Restore measures the damage on upload and offers it when the standard pass would not be enough. If a result is unusable, we run it again at no charge.
Should I try to clean or flatten the photo first?
No. Do not tape, iron or wet the print. Photograph it as it is, flat, in daylight; the repair works on the image, not the physical print, and fragile emulsion is easy to damage further.
Will the face still look like them?
Yes. The restoration keeps every face, expression, age and accessory exactly as in the original. It repairs damage and returns natural colour; it does not beautify, re-age or re-imagine anyone.
Do I need a subscription?
No. One photo costs $5, pay as you go. If you have a box of photos, a monthly plan from $9.99 is cheaper per photo, and credits you buy never expire.
Are my photos private?
Photos are private to your account, transferred and stored encrypted, never used to train any model and never shared. Originals are deleted automatically 30 days after a finished restoration; you can delete anything sooner.
